Checking the suspicious shipment from the Netherlands to Vietnam, the customs force discovered that there were 2 paper boxes containing drugs inside.
On June 13, the Express Customs Branch (Hanoi Customs Department) coordinated with the Anti-Smuggling Investigation Department (General Department of Customs), Hanoi Police Department and a number of related units to organize Open the seal to inspect the consignment transported from the Netherlands to Vietnam by courier with suspicious signs.
Accordingly, checking the shipment from the Netherlands to Vietnam via the express route, the competent force discovered that there were 2 rectangular paper boxes inside the shipment containing dark colored tablets suspected of being synthetic drugs. Total 515 tablets, weight 222 grams.
Tested by drug test, the tablets react positive with MDMA sample (ecstasy, scientific name is MethyleneDioxyl – Methamphet Amine).
Immediately afterwards, the exhibits were sealed by functional forces and sent to the drug examination center – Institute of Criminal Science (Ministry of Public Security) for examination.
The case is being further investigated and clarified by functional forces.
